Beyondsky Eyemind Intelligent Handheld Gimbal

When I first turned the gimbal on, after balancing my OnePlus 6t as best I could, it kept slowly sinking on the left. I thought that my phone was just too heavy, but after watching a YouTube video for the same gimbal (under the FunSnap name), I learned that there are two calibration procedures that can be done. These are not listed or described in the manual. I had to do the phone calibration where you place the phone in the gimbal, press mode 7 times, then lay the phone face down on a flat, level surface with the gimbal flat on the surface with the handle at a right angle from the side of the phone (as seen in my photo). After this, no more sinking on the left side of the phone.

The Gimbal is quite smooth with only the occasional quick movement to catch up while panning. I've seen that same behavior on other gimbals. What's somewhat disappointing is that the inner frame of the gimbal that holds the phone won't swing freely within the outer frame, but instead is blocked from fully articulating. The phone mount itself holds rather well, but depends on you sliding the phone side to side in the mount to balance rather than having an adjustable arm to aid in balancing. I like the replaceable battery option, but the battery door on the end of the handle prevented them from including a 1/4-20 mounting point there. Instead, it's on the side and requires the use of a right angle adapter to add a pole for crane style shots. On the other hand, this makes it possible to easily add a secondary handle for steadier handling. Another mildly annoying issue is that the mode button doesn't always respond to the long press when attempting to turn it off (as seen in the included video).

The app may get bad reviews on the Google Play Store, but it works rather well with most of my phones. My OnePlus 6t seems to have an issue with dropped frames in the app, but my other phones work well and you don't have to use the app to just record video using on screen controls in another app. The follow mode of the app works but easily loses track of moderately fast moving objects.

For the price, I'm quite impressed with this gimbal. It's basic, but gets the job done, has pretty good build quality, and it's a great option for burgeoning young YouTube creators that are on a budget, but want something to give a more professional look to their videos.

The package arrived within a week of placing the order with gearbest.
It arrived in a bubble wrap envelope which offered it sum protection in transit.
Unfortunately the box did sustain some damage in transit, but due to the
protective product packaging, the gimbal itself did not sustain any damage.
Upon opening the box everything was there as expected apart from the 18650 battery
which seemed to be missing. However upon closer inspection it was already inside the unit.
The gimbal seems to work as intended upon initial testing.
The manual is challenging to understand and I have still not been able to get timelaps or object tracking to work and also not able to see the level of battery charge.

i have tested this now couple times with 5,5" phone and gopro styled action cam and it feels good for the price, I haven't tested the battery life with the original battery, but if it can handle even 4 hours then i'm happy with it since batterys are cheap and i can't see personally using this non stop for longer than couple hours

Pros:
Cheap, easy to use, works without app so it can be used with action camera also if you have adapter, can be mounted to tripod or you can attach something else in to the screw hole on the side (like mic from audio recorder or something like that)

Cons:
App doesn't work, can't be used with other apps, doesn't come with bag, no battery indicator

Economic gimbal, with 3-axis stabilization. The first impression is very good, it seems to stabilize correctly, I have not tried it too much before doing the review I have not even read the manual. It has different stabilization modes, also allows the automatic vertical rotation of the mobile or action camera with a simple twist of the wrist. It has an own application to connect the mobile to the gimbal via bluetooth, with this app we can do basic actions such as taking pictures, videos, zooming or even following faces or objects automatically. I'll try it in depth to see how it works, at the moment very happy because for 69 dollars I do not think you can get anything better.

Ich entschied mich aufgrund des Preises für dieses gimbal. Es kam nach knapp 1 1/2 Wochen an. Neu, OVP und ohne schaden. Ich nutze es nun mit meinem Huawei p20 pro, ein großes Smartphones mit knapp 200gr Gewicht + Schutzhülle, insgesamt 260gr. Das gimbal arbeitet damit klasse. Ein super Einstiegsmodell. Mir ist es leider nicht möglich den Selfie Modus zu nutzen (3 maliges drücken des knopfes).aber das ist wohl ein bekanntes problem laut internet. Die app dazu lässt mich leider nicht meine Huawei Kamera nutzen, was schade ist. Aber man kann es auch ohne App benutzen, dann halt nicht über Bluetooth. Akku hält lange.
Im großen und ganzen ein klasse Einstiegsmodell und für meinen kommenden Urlaub sicher ein klasse Begleiter!
